<description>I used to have the same problem with Blue Ridge Cable here in PA. Not only did the payment practices lack, they billed one month in advance which made it appear as if my bill was larger than it actually was.
I did a lot of searching and found that for me, Verizon tripple package was the best. I got Directv with even more channels for half of what I was paying with Cable, plus a discount on my phone service and internet. Right now Directv has a promotion where if you refer someone and they sign up for serivce, you get $50.00 and so do they.

I think these days we really have to our research and not be afraid to ask for unannounced discounts and packages so we can afford to live comfortably.

<description>I agree with you completely. I try to teach the kids the same things, decipher between needs and wants. Do you need a new game or do you want one? Do you need to buy a snack after school everyday or can you wait ntil you come home and have milk and fruit?
I hear the same sob stories myself these days, and yet I have been ridiculed at times for not getting a haircut and color every three weeks, for not purchasing new sneakers every 6 months. I think if you take care of your belongings, you don't have to. Wash and care for your clothes, hang them up, mend and iron, what is so hard about that? Don't get me wrong, if it is ripped and stained, it's nice for the gar-bage...but don't get your hair cut, buy new clothes from JC Pennys and go out to eat with your friends three nights per week then ask me if I know where you might be able to earn some extra money for bills. *shaking my head!*

<description>I too was on buxout when it shout down. My earnings were quite small but then as you stated they only allowed so many clics per day. I have to say the I agree with you on the ptc sites and I also use traffic exchanges now more than ptc sites.

<description>I've been writing for AC for almost three years - sometimes I put a lot of effort in, sometimes very little.
I write regularly on AC and I make a nice little living from it - I'm not getting rich but I make enough extra to keep me happy and help stretch our budget. To me, it's worth it.
Here's my page:http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/6227/tamara_waters.html - if you check it out and message me through AC I'll check out your content - that way we can help each other out with page views.
Best wishes!</description>

<description>It's funny that I landed on this post of yours. Just yesterday I heard about Associated Content for the first time. After having worked today.com for about a month and a half as a blogger, I've found that I really enjoy it, so I started doing some research about programs that are equivalent to today.com. AC was the only program I have come up with so far. So a few questions for you...Do they pay you per post, or just by the amount of traffic that lands on your blog? Can you write about anything your heart desires, or do you have to write about one of the topics that they predetermine? Are you familiar with any other programs like this?

Thanks so much!
